Raise Your Glass

Hey guys! :) LOL. Yeah, yeah. I know I'm on blogspot...and I really shouldn't be. But toady was too interesting that I just had to come on here. >u<"
Well, you may be wondering why there's a picture of a duck on here. So I was coming out of my house to walk to the bus stop, and I see this duck. o__o. I shouted to Sydney, who was across the street coming out of her house, that there was a duck on the road. And she ended up taking some pictures. ;D We named him George. He was adorable! He kept quacking and didn't care that I walked like right past him. <3 This is why I love ducks. (I had this obsession with ducks/still do.)
The other interesting part of my day was going to history. Megan and I were walking, and we see this huge crowd in the main lobby. All of these seniors were like standing there frozen doing random poses. This one guy was in a banana suit, and a bunch of people were reading newspapers and stuff. It was exactly like Improveverywhere's train station one. :) It was so cool. x) I found out later that a teacher had told them to do that, trying to illustrate what would happen if the government had shut down. (As you all probably know from last week if you live here in the U.S., our gov't was pretty close to shutting down.)
Anyways, I should really go. I have lots of homework and LOTS of studying to do! And I have a concert tonighht! So many people asked me if I wanted to go to the ASA dinner tonight, but I can't. ;~;
Byeee! 3 more days! :D

Just a Dream

So weather.com lied yesterday. Instead of being 88 degrees, it was 81. T-T. Oh well, the weather was still super nice and everything. :) The sun was out & it was so warm. Above- I wore shorts to school for the first time since like October/November! :) They were bermudas, but still, they're not like long pants anymore. Below- A look outside my room window. The sun's out and everything. :D These were taken on my webcam, so the quality/everything about the picture kind of sucks. -___-"
Anyways, today was alrighht. :) In Am. Lit, our teacher wasn't here for the 2nd time all year, and my class was like cheering. o__o. We had the coolest sub ever though. x) I've only had her once in all my years here, but basically she let's you use your phones and iPods freely, as long as you get your work done. :) She was walking around texting all class too, haha. So Megan, Alexandra, and I got out laptops and just kind of did work/talked. :) In math, Inyoung forgot his textbook, so we were working together on the review. I'm so gonna fail on Wednesday. >n<", In chem, we continued working on our research projects. Lol, we printed out so many things. x) In gym, we started fitness testing. Our teacher is being nice and splitting up the testing into 3 days instead of the normal 2. So today we did sit-ups (we had to do 46 of them in order to possibly get this award), and we ran a half mile & walked a quarter mile in order to prepare for the mile after break. Basically in my school, if you reach all the standards for sit-ups, push-ups, sit-and-reach, and the mile, every year, twice a year, you can get this award when you graduate. And right now I'm trying to get that. TT-TT. At this moment, I think I can get it. :D I got it last year, but you have to get it for all 4 years of high school in order to get the award. ><,
I went to the library after school 'cause our orch. teacher was sick today. I was sitting there shelf-reading and stuff, and then like this dog comes in, and all of these little kids come up to read to the dog. I was so confused. o__o. And then, right when I was about to finish volunteering, one of the workers gave me all of this shelving to do. Whatever, a few minutes over won't hurt. ;D
Alright, I have lots to do! I probably won't be on tomorrow. I have a French quiz, APUSH quiz, pre-calc test, and chem test ALL on Wednesday, AND a concert Tuesday night. -___-" 4 more days until break!

Excited

A little throw back. (: That's from this past summer at camp going to the very last dance. <3

I'm not sure where exactly you're from, but here where I live, it's been pretty cold ever since November. We've had an occasional day or two where it's hit 65-70 degrees F, but that's about it. It's supposed to be spring...but it's still cold. ><, Well. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 88 degrees F. EIGHTY-EIGHT. <3 That's like SUMMER. Eeek! :) I'm excited to wear shorts and everything.
...Too bad I have to run a mile tomorrow in that heat...at like 2P.M., too! (Around the hottest time of the day.)
I should probably go do homework now. I've been working on source 2 for Am. Lit. Oh my gosh, it's taken forever. TT-TT. Alright, I just have to do pre-calc homework and some chemistry and I'll be done!
5 more days of school until spring break! :D Byeee!

E.T.

I should probably be sleeping right now.
Just an update on what I did after my last post..
I went to play tennis, it felt amazing. The weather was so nice and all. <3
& Then after dinner, I attempted to annotate source 2 for Am. Lit, but I really couldn't focus. Lol. So then I made cupcakes instead. :D They were banana supreme, and they turned out really well. The last time I made cupcakes, they were horrible. Haha. (They were red velvet and ended up tasting like muffins.) While I was doing that, I started reviewing for APUSH. I think I'm more motivated now to start reviewing only 'cause I get to use my post-it tabs. :) And I know I'll run out...another excuse to go to Staples. xD I <3 stationary.
I just finished watching an episode of DC Cupcakes, too! So the only thing I didn't do was my annotated source 2, but I guess I'll just do that later tomorrow (well, today).
Alright well, good nighhht!

Take a Bow

Hellooo!
公公,生日快乐!<3
I'm supposed to be doing work right now, but I'm utterly exhausted. I'm going to play tennis soon, since the weather's looking nicer today. :)
I haven't done anything today, really. But I plan on playing tennis, doing French homework, annotating source 2 for American Lit, reading some of my APUSH book, watching a few episodes of DC Cupcakes/Cake Boss, making cupcakes/a cake, and possibly going out to buy sticky tack. :)
Btw, I'm probably not going to be on here Monday or Tuesday. On Tuesday night, I have a Sophisticated Strings concert, and on Wednesday I have a French quiz, a pre-calc test, and a chem test. So screwed. ;~;
Rawr. Okay, byeee!

1983

This is another picture from our snow party. (: Our hot chocolate mugs. <3
Things have changed so much since that day in 8th grade. We've all grown apart, it's weird. A few of us have grown distant from each other, not really talking much. That's what high school does to you. It tears you apart from all of the people you've met in middle school, and brings you further and further away from them, to the point where you don't even say 'hi' in the hallways anymore.
/depressing rant.
Anyways, today's FRIDAY! I have no pictures for you...(well, when do I ever have pictures?) So I'm just uploading previous ones. I'll take pictures more when the weather's nicer. (It's been gloomy/raining all day.) I guess April showers really do bring May flowers. Lol. This whole week was all gloomy & not sunny. /:
So let's see...
Happy 16th birthday JASON!
Psych- Today was probably the most interesting (for me personally) class we've had so far. All of the classes are interesting, but this one really sparked my interest for some reason. We were talking about sleep disorders, and she went into the whole process of dreaming. She explained how there are different levels of sleep and a routine that we go through every night: 1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 1, REM. Level 3/4 is for deep sleep, while level 1 is for light sleep. REM is Rapid Eye Movement, which is when you're dreaming. She then went on about how we normally dream about 5 times every night, but the reason why we can't remember our dreams very often, is because you have to wake up right after REM to remember. Idk, talking about dreams and sleep really gets me interested. >u<,
Pre-calculus- LOL. We were a day ahead of the other classes, so my teacher put on a movie/we could work on our homework during it. The movie was called "Flatland." We all thought it was going to be a normal movie with people in it and stuff, but then it starts playing, and it's like cartoon and animated. o__o. Basically, it has to do with geometry and math in general. The shapes were living in a 2-D world, knowing that there was a such thing as a 1-D world (line segment) and a 0-D world (a point). The whole idea was to figure out if there was a 3-D world, and why they didn't know about it. The movie was cute and had some corny puns. ;D I ended up watching the whole time and not working on my homework. Lol.
Gym- We finally finished volleyball! They played "Friday" while we were warming up...omg, I can't stand that song. Lol. "Partying, partying, YEAH!" "Looking forward to the weekend." Wooo.
ALRIGHT. I wrote so much more than I expected. I might change this theme now. I'm not a big fan anymore. We'll see. Have a GREAT weekend! :D

Coming Back Down

(Just an FYI, that's not me. I WISH. She's gorgeous. <3 And her outfittt!)

Hey guyyys~ I've been super busy with all of this work...yet I find myself procrastinating so much. Wah. I can't wait until break...only 6 more school days to go! :)
Hmm. Today was the last day of the weird schedule for the standardized tests for the juniors.
Chem- Presented our section of chapter 13. LOL. That was so awkward...Kevin made a worksheet, and at the bottom it was like, "If you don't know the answers, ask Amber." -___-,
Study hall- Helped Siena with geometry with Stef. It's weird 'cause they're learning like trigonometry, but I don't remember learning that much about trig last year. Hm.
Am. Lit II- This class is getting ridiculous. My homework tonight? Read pg. 110-115 in the MLA book & complete the 4 exercises online (graded for accuracy). Source 1 is due tomorrow (summary, analysis, and annotations). And read ch. 1 and 2 of The Catcher in the Rye. Wtheck. I didn't know this was a college course all of a sudden. ;n;
Pre-Calculus- We learned like stuff about projectile and I don't even know. Lol. We got our tests back, and weirdly enough, I did well. He had a 3-pt. curve though, so that's probably why.

After school, I went to wait outside the German room (which is also where my locker is :D) for Andrea to finish making her poster for German club, so we could go to art club. I ended up walking around the hallways a few times, until Georgianna dragged me inside German club. LOL. In art club, Andrea & I just continued our paintings. :) We went to the library after, and we sat there on the computer comparing our fb lists. LOL. Why are we so cool? ;D

Alright, I have a load of work to do. TGIAF! <3

Wedding Dress

Hi guys. :D
Yesterday I basically just put off all of my work until really late/stayed up watching the NCAA basketball tournament (YEAH UCONN!)
And today I have a bunch of work to do...another source for my Am. Lit II research paper, pre-calc homework, APUSH quiz Friday, French III homework, and a powerpoint for chemistry.
...I better get started. LOL.
I promise I'll be more active once things start settling down! (Probably spring break!)
Have a wonderful day! <3

Sing

Photos from Friday!
Here are the books I bought:
The one on the left is The Perks of Being a Wallflower (I bought it for pleasure-reading), while the one on the right is The Grapes of Wrath (I bought it for my research paper for American Lit II [basically a term paper, just not as long in length]).
The total came to be like $30 for only 2 books. o__o. Why are books so expensive?
This is what I gave Sarah for her sweet 16 party last night! I had no idea what to get her, so I ended up buying her like a $3.00 card & this random stationary. Lol.

Alrighhht, lots to do! I have like 4 tests/quizzes tomorrow. Time to study! Have a wonderful rest of your weekend! Byee!

Saturday, April 2, 2011

Dear April,

(I realize how it's April 2nd right now and not April 1st. I was planning on writing here yesterday, but as soon as I got home, I went out (pictures to come really soon!) and then I got home and basically was dead from a week full of 4-5 hours of sleep.)

Every month I wish for something amazing to happen, something life-changing. This month, I'm not going to. This month, I wish that everything will be able to remain the same, that nothing will change. I hope that all goes well with my parents, that my brother'll be doing fine, that my family will be okay. Because now, I've realized that as much fun as it would be to have something spectacular happen, I don't want any of that. All I want is for everything to stay how it is. Because well, life is good as it is.
