Apologize

To clear things up, the title is both a song title (OneRepublic <3) and the truth! I sincerely apologize for not posting for so long. But honestly, nothing has really happened since my last post!
But I felt extremely guilty for not posting, so here is my alternative. :)

So you know how the 2012 London Olympics are coming up soon?
Well, it just so happens that they start exactly one year from today (July 27th)!

The other day, my dad brought home a pin from his work (they're sponsoring part of the Olympics). And I thought it was cute. :) **Note: I got extremely lazy and didn't do a nice job of hiding the place my dad works at, so just deal with my rectangles for now. x)

I love the Olympics. I get all excited whenever they come on or whenever something special comes on (like the World Cup!) I particularly enjoy watching the opening ceremony, gymnastics, and diving! And if I want, I'll watch swimming and track, but not really anything else. For the winter Olympics, I'll watch ice skating and speed skating, or whatever they call those races, and skiing/snowboarding. Haha.

I think I'm going to start a sort of collection of Olympic items. :) I have 2008 Beijing, 2010 Vancouver, and now 2012 London! I can't wait until the Olympics come back to America. (But who really knows when that will be.)

Alright, well, enough rambling for tonight! I hope you all have a beautiful day/night--wherever you are! :) And I promise there will be more interesting posts on here soon. I'm going on vacation in about a week, so I'm super excited. Expect to see loads and loads of pictures!

Goodnight everyone!

Legilimens

Hello. :)
This morning I went and picked up my permit book. In exactly one month, I'll be 16! :D
Later, I went and saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. MY GOSH, IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I wanted to just start breaking out into tears during the scenes with Snape. It was just such a good movie. :') Some people told me they thought it was too comical at times, which is true for the part in heaven, but it was overall really, really, really good.

I was supposed to see the midnight premiere and get the Harry Potter themed 3D glasses (I really want those ><), but I had SAT classes. So I couldn't go. /cries.

But I'm pretty happy with going today because the movie was just that good. <3 I love David Yates for making such a spectacular film like this one.
I will be putting small spoilers at the end of this post. So if you haven't seen it yet, don't read them! :)

Other than that, today I went out. I ended up buying a pencil skirt (finally!) and Animal Farm by George Orwell. <3 I was really happy with my purchases today. The skirt was $12.99 and the book was only $6.32!

I'm really excited to read this book. I wanted him as my author for my term paper, but other people got him before I could. :( Oh well.

Alright, the spoilers will be underneath this last line of text! Have a beautiful weekend everyone. <3

SPOILERS.

- I loved Neville and McGonagall in this movie. Omg, they were so boss. LOL.
- I was super disappointed by the Ron-Hermione kiss.
- I was disappointed that Ron and Hermione weren't really in the movie.
- The whole heaven scene was weird. Dumbledore was just flat out strange in that part.
- I was on the verge of tears during the Snape scene/the Snape-Lily scene. Omg, that was so sad. <3 I love Snape so much.
- The whole Gringotts scene was absolutely brilliant. The special effects were done beautifully.
- I hated the part where you could see the goblins dead. That was just unnecessary.
- THE ENDING WAS GOLDEN. I kind of wish that they would've stopped right after the wand got broken. But the epilogue was still good. <3
- That Voldemort-Malfoy hug was hilarious. LOL. So awkward.
- The movie was just amazing. Amazing, amazing, amazing.

Red Rover

Hi guys. :)
I'm so sorry for not posting these past few days, but nothing's really happened/I don't have any pictures. And I still don't, but I feel really bad for being so inactive.

Let's see. I had SAT class on Friday. And I had more SAT class today. They were both pretty good. Omg, my classes are getting funnier and funnier. :') So like in reading class, we all just figured out today how interesting our teacher is and how much we don't really get taught. x) It's hilarious. When we went out for break, we stayed out there for like 10 minutes. Hahah.

And then on Saturday, I went to this flea market. And I didn't buy anything except for a $2 windmill (our old one broke) and some lemonade and a pretzel. LOL. There were all of these like bags and sunglasses that were pretty cheap and stuff. But all the bags were like knock-offs of designer brands. And I don't ever wear sunglasses/I still have two pairs from when I went to the Sunglasses Hut back last summer. Literally, the last time I wore sunglasses was in California last August.

So I don't have any pictures. But here's a video I shot the other day! My camera ran out of memory, so I had to end it early.

Firework

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY

Happy Independence Day everyone! :) I know I've been kind of inactive, but this also happens to be my 100TH POST on Blogspot, so I decided to wait until a special occasion to blog about everything.

I've done lots since I last blogged on here. :)
On Friday, I had SAT classes. It was cool. I just like hung out with Nick, John, and Justin during lunch, and then I saw Abe after classes. It wasn't bad overall. After, I went to a grocery store nearby and I saw Jason there. HAHA. He was like, "Amber..? Amber? AMBER?" Oh gosh. Then I checked my phone, and Sarah texted me asking if I wanted to do something later. So we went to see the fireworks that night. They were so pretty, omg. :) That gif up there has a few pictures of mine from it! The ending was kind of weird though. Apparently there was some kind of fire or something and they just ended the show right there. HAHA.

Then on Saturday, I went to Philadelphia with Emily. :) We took the train and walked to the Franklin Institute. Omg, that place is so much fun. <3 We spent so much time there. And there was even a special firework show thing that talked about making fireworks. It was pretty cool. We also got to ride the Sky Bike thing. It's this bike that you ride on like the 3rd floor. And it rides on this one wire. Haha. It was fun though! And plus, we used Emily's membership card so admission and the Sky Bike were free. :) Loveee.

Emily riding the Sky Bike!

We went to rest of the 3rd floor and solved these puzzles. I solved the Hanoi towers thing. It was fun, yet frustrating. And then we went into the sports exhibit and did basically everything there.

Emily surfing it up. :)

After, we went to the heart exhibit and climbed through the giant heart. It was cool. :D I just hate the noises that come with it.

The giant heart. :)

After, we made paper! Haha. It kind of failed. But whatever. And then we went to the earth, space, and train exhibits. They were tons of fun, too. We ate lunch at like 2:30. And then went out to walk to Melrose Diner!
So basically in APUSH this year, we watched this diners video and Melrose was one of them. It had the catchiest jingle in the world, so we decided that we were going to go there one day. Don't go there. It was a 50+ minute walk there from the institute and then a 45 minute walk from there to the train station. Our feet wanted to die. Not to mention how we had to walk through the shadiest areas. Omg, haha. But it wasn't that bad when we got there. I got a strawberry milkshake in honor of the last diner I went to, and Emily got a Philly cheesesteak. :) It was like 90+ degrees outside, so we were reluctant to go back. But we had to eventually. ):

Then I just took some more pictures. :) There are a few of the statue of William Penn! If you know Philadelphia, you should know the old curse that goes behind it! Haha. :)

Alright, I'm going to go do some summer assignments and then some SAT prep.
Happy Fourth of July everyone! :)
